Choreographers and cinematographers sometimes are thrown into projects together. Sometimes this process is smooth, but most of the time this sort of collaboration is frustrating for both parties. Therefore, in this project, we would like to give the opportunity for choreographers and cinematographers, of various levels and experiences, to come together to learn and play!
The workshop will be divided into two sections: First, an exchange; and then, an experiment!
By the guidance of professionals from both fields, the participants learn more about each other's world and jargon. Communication skills will be added to your tool box like: How to make a movement storyboard; How to be wary of your dancers stamina on set; What to keep in mind when you go location hunting, etc. All to make collaboration smoother between the choreographer and the cinematographer. Lastly, you will be motivated to take to the streets of Anderlecht together and make a short dance clip. This will be shown at an expo at Zinnema at the end of September 2019.
